A rehabilitation clinic, recently added to the Woodstock General Hospital campus, was experiencing performance issues that had previously been misdiagnosed. They asked the BELi team for assistance, and we provided forensic field inspections using infrared imaging and pressure-assisted theatrical fogging of building areas. Once experimentation and analysis determined the true causes of the issues, retrofit details were developed and implemented. The hospital also wanted to reduce overall energy usage in the clinic, and BELi conducted hygrothermal modelling of an innovative retrofit insulation approach to confirm suitability. The facility is now operating with less energy consumption and fewer occupant complaints.
